This weekend in western Wisconsin, law enforcement will bid farewell once more.
Katie Leising, a deputy with the St. Croix County, will be laid to rest on Friday in Hudson.
She will have a public viewing on Friday from 9 am to noon at Hudson High School, followed immediately by a full police memorial.
Last Saturday, Leising was slain while on duty. A three-month-old son and her wife are her only survivors.
She spent nearly a year working for the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office.
The funeral for Emily Breidenbach, a police officer from Chetek, and Hunter Scheel, a police officer from Cameron, both slain in April, took place in Barron County around a month ago.
