A total of fourteen non-profit charities in Manitowoc and a pair in Two Rivers have signed on to be a part of the NASCAR Day Giveathon.
The number in Manitowoc is the most out of every municipality in the state and is only beaten out by Chicago in the upper Midwest.
This year is the 75th anniversary of the event which aims to help non-profit organizations all over the country.
How it works is starting at 5:00 p.m. on May 16th, donations will be accepted online to raise money through a 75-hour period.
You can set up a personal fundraising page on the event website for any of the many non-profits that have signed on to participate.
Also around our area, two charities in Sheboygan have signed up, along with one in Fond du Lac, three in the Appleton area, and three in or near Green Bay.
Racing has a rich history in Eastern Wisconsin and is home to many NASCAR Fans who listen to races on WCUB Radio every Sunday.
You can see all of them and learn more about the giveathon by visiting NASCARFoundation.org/GiveAThon.
