Joseph C. Schuetze, age 52, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life due to natural causes on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Joe was born on February 12, 1971 in Manitowoc to Mary (Logan) Schuetze and the late Wayne Schuetze. He attended St. Boniface Catholic Grade School, graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1989, and went on to attend UW Manitowoc. He was an honor student and excelled at cross country and track. Joe’s working career began as a paperboy. Then, throughout high school, he worked at McDonalds where he loved the free fries! But the majority of his working career was spent at Eck Industries where he had worked for over 30 years. He was proud of the house that he helped design and build with the help of his father, Wayne. Joe enjoyed playing ping pong, and also sheepshead in which he attended tournaments throughout the state. He was an avid reader, watcher of Jeopardy and movies (especially Star Wars and Lord of the Rings), and loved listening to all sorts of music and going to concerts. For many years, Joe spent summer vacations at the family cottage near Minocqua. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and all animals.
Survivors include Joe’s daughter, Samantha Schuetze, and her fiancée, Keaton Wegner, Marshfield; son, Corbin Schuetze, Manitowoc; granddaughter, Naomi, Manitowoc; mother, Mary Schuetze, Manitowoc; sister, Angela (Patrick) Katchak, Prospect, KY; niece, Angel (Shane) Engeldinger; and two nephews, Jon Schuetze and George Katchak; also many cousins and special friends.
