Charges have officially been filed against the man that was deemed responsible for a crash that killed a 4-year-old Sheboygan girl last month.
Nathan Heitzmann was in court on Monday where he was charged with Knowingly Operating a Motor Vehicle While Suspended Causing Death.
His bail was set at $5,000 cash. Heitzmann was driving his truck south on North 21st Street the afternoon of April 12th when he slammed into a vehicle traveling east on Saemann Avenue.
One of the vehicles ended up leaving the roadway and striking the girl, identified through a GoFundMe page as Cordelia Kuether.
She died from her injuries and three others were taken to local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Heitzmann quickly admitted fault, and was taken into custody.
To date, over $38,000 was raised for Cordelia’s family to help cover burial and medical expenses on the GoFundMe page.
