According to Waterford police, a 75-year-old man admitted to drinking yesterday morning immediately before colliding with a nearby Subway lobby.
It occurred Tuesday morning around 10:45. Police were informed by witnesses that the man had backed up and struck the curb at the back of the parking lot.
He allegedly pushed his SUV into drive after that and crashed through the Subway’s front wall.
He didn’t stop until he ran into the counter.
Fortunately, nobody was wounded.
The man was detained by Waterford Police for OWI and careless driving.
