The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers’ struggles out of the bullpen continued last night as they fell to the Beloit Sky Carp 4-3.
The Carp did score two runs in the first inning, but the Rattlers were able to work their way into a 3-2 lead entering the 7th inning.
That is when Joseph Hernandez was taken off the mound and Karlos Morales came in.
He gave up two runs while recording only two outs.
The Rattlers’ offense could not muster any more runs and lost their series opener in front of a home crowd.
Taylor Floyd pitched well to close the game, allowing no baserunners and striking out four batters.
At the plate, Eduardo Garcia went 3 for 4 and knocked in a run while Ben Metzinger and Eric Brown Jr. each put two balls in play.
The Rattlers will look to rebound quickly as they take on the Sky Carp again today with a 12:10 p.m. start time.
Cameron Wagoner will start against Chris Mokma.
