The trial for a Green Bay woman accused of brutally killing a man will remain in Brown County.
A motion filed by Taylor Schabusiness’ defense team asking the case to move to a different county was denied by Judge Thomas Walsh.
The defense claims that the publicity and media coverage of the story will make it impossible for Schabusiness to get a fair trial while the prosecution argued that an informed jury is not necessarily a prejudiced one.
Judge Walsh sided with the prosecution, saying the media has been reporting the facts, not sensationalizing the story as the defense claimed.
She is due back in court on July 17th for a pretrial hearing.
