A Two Rivers woman is facing charges for her role in a recent overdose death.
Detective Schultz was assigned to the case on March 31st after investigators determined that the victim died of a fentanyl overdose.
The Manitowoc Detective spoke with a relative of the victim who identified one of the victim’s friends and noted that they believe her to have a drug problem.
The investigators looked up the individual and learned that she had been arrested previously for possessing 7.7 grams of Fentanyl during a traffic stop in Mishicot.
The investigators were able to speak with the 43-year-old woman on April 5th, and she admitted to taking the drug with the victim.
She said she had left about a quarter of a gram behind when she left the victim’s residence, which led to the detectives placing her under arrest.
She is facing charges of First Degree Reckless Homicide and Delivering a Schedule I or II Narcotic.
