According to Milwaukee police, they are making an arrest in 75% of the city’s homicides.
According to police chief Jeffrey Norman, the city’s clearance rate stands at 75% this year.
That represents a significant improvement over the previous two years when the clearance rate was only 50%.
According to Norman, there have been 39 murders as of the end of March, down from 50 the year before.
This has given detectives more time to concentrate on investigations.
Even so, Norman claims that there are too many shootings that result in no injuries.
In Milwaukee, they have increased by 11% this year.
