Firefighters in Milwaukee are adamant that they didn’t miss a woman’s and a toddler’s body during Wednesday’s enormous fire on the city’s south side.
Investigators said yesterday that they had discovered the victims among the ruins of four residences that had been destroyed by a quick-moving fire that had been stoked by Wednesday’s strong winds.
According to Assistant Chief DeWayne Smoots, the fire was too strong for fire crews to send inside the houses to look for occupants.
It took the firefighters an hour and a half to put out the fire.
If the lady and the infant are related is not stated by the M.E.
Smoots is being vague about the fire’s exact cause.
