Five buildings were completely destroyed after a 1,000-gallon propane tank exploded Wednesday, according to Waupaca firefighters.
Firefighters claim that the explosion was caused by a fire at the house close to the tank.
One of their pets passed away, but the two people who were at home at the time were unharmed.
What caused the fire has not been disclosed by investigators.
Cleaning up the wreckage and demolishing what’s left of the wrecked buildings, according to crews, will take some time.
