A Manitowoc County man was arrested early Monday morning after he led the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office on a five-mile pursuit.
A Deputy was on patrol on Highway 42 near Pine River Road in the Town of Newton when he saw a vehicle with no front license plate and what appeared to be fresh damage to the front end.
The vehicle abruptly turned onto Pine River Road and crossed the centerline, instigating a traffic stop.
However, the driver, 45-year-old Jason Sieracki took off, leading the deputy on a five-mile chase at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.
The deputy was eventually able to get in position and conduct a PIT maneuver, sending the vehicle into the ditch.
The Town of Newton man was arrested without further incident, with no injuries being reported.
Sieracki is being held in the Manitowoc County Jail on $3,000 cash bail on charges of Fleeing or Eluding Police, Resisting or Obstructing, and his 6th OWI.
