Several cats in Oak Creek died as a result of a fire in a mobile home.
Late Monday morning, firefighters were called to the burning mobile home in the 2500 block of West Carroll Avenue.
Some of the cats were saved by firefighters.
They were taken to a crisis pet emergency clinic for treatment.
A number of cats perished as a result of the fire after it was put out.
Fire officials did not specify the number of cats that perished.
The fire’s cause is still under investigation.
