A death in Juneau County last week may have been caused by carbon monoxide poisoning, according to authorities.
When they were discovered in a cabin in Armenia Township, one man named Joseph Gudella and another man appeared to be dead.
The other man was taken to the hospital, while Gudella was pronounced dead on the spot.
Gudella was identified as a member of the Illinois Batavia Police Department.
