
Two people were arrested Monday night following an armed robbery at a Manitowoc gas station.
According to Captain Matt Wallander, officers were sent to the Kwik Trip located on South 10th Street when they were informed of an armed robbery in progress.
Witnesses reported two individuals in the store, one of which was armed with a knife.
The duo received cash from the drawer before fleeing the scene.
Residents in the area pointed police toward two individuals hiding behind a business a few blocks away, and when the investigators approached them, the suspects surrendered without further incident.
The 18-year-old Manitowoc man and 16-year-old Manitowoc girl were each charged with Armed Robbery.
The man is being held in the Manitowoc County Jail while the girl was sent to the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center.
