The month of February was rough for homebuyers in Manitowoc County.
According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the average price for a home in our county rose 30.7 percent over the past year.
In February 2022, the average home sold for $153,000, and this February, that number shot up to $200,000.
As one may expect, this has caused a significant decline in the number of homes sold.
Last February, 61 homes were sold in Manitowoc County, and this February that number fell 23% to 47.
The number of days on the market however, actually fell from 80 last year to 74 days this past month.
Manitowoc County homes are selling for less than the state average however, with that number being reported as $235,000, which is up 11.7% from last year.
