Spear fishers continue to have success on the Winnebago system. 109 total fish were brought in, with 48 coming out of Lake Winnebago, and 61 being caught in the Upriver Lakes. Colton Dunham not only caught the biggest fish of the day, his 79”, 153.7 LB monster is also the largest sturgeon caught this season. Dunham caught his prized fish in the Upriver Lakes. With only 11 adult females remaining to be caught to reach the season goal, the Upriver Lakes fishery will likely close at around 1:00 PM today, according to the Wisconsin DNR. So if you have unfiled Upriver Lakes tags, today just may be your last day to get them filled.
