In Wisconsin, the penalties for driving carelessly are about to increase.
The Wisconsin Assembly approved a plan Wednesday to increase the penalties for reckless driving.
At the moment, the penalties range from $25 to $200.
State Rep. Bob Donovan’s bill would make that up to $400 dollars.
A plan to make it easier for local governments to remove reckless drivers’ cars was also approved by lawmakers.
The office of Governor Evers has made it abundantly clear that once the plans reach his desk, he will sign them both.
