Following yet another report of a gunman at the high school, Chippewa Falls police are easing fears.
After receiving a call Wednesday about a gunman, officers rushed to the school.
Chippewa Falls High School was safe, according to the police, and no one had a gun.
The officers recognized it as yet another swatting call. School administrators in Rice Lake, Spooner, Superior, and Wausau claim to have received calls of a similar nature yesterday.
A similar fictitious threat was made by a local elementary school student about two weeks prior to the call in Chippewa Falls.
