Gas prices in Eastern Wisconsin fell not only when compared to last week, but also compared to this time last year.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, Manitowoc County saw a five-cent decline in the average price per gallon of fuel over the past seven days, now averaging $3.21 per gallon.
Sheboygan County reported a seven-cent dip to an average of $3.26, while Calumet County only reported a one-penny drop to $3,28.
Outagamie County saw the biggest decline in the area, dropping 14 cents to $3.18, while Brown County motorists are paying eight cents less this week with an average of $3.22 per gallon.
Kewaunee County reported a four-cent decline to $3.25 while Door County’s average is down nine cents to $3.20.
The state average followed this trend as well, dropping seven cents to $3.23, while the national average fell three cents to $3.43.
Last year at this time, the average in the seven-county area we cover was sitting at $3.92.
This week, that average is now at $3.23, a 70-cent decline over the past 51 weeks.
