The president of the University of Wisconsin claims that the majority of the $38 million he wants from a new tuition hike will be used to give university employees pay raises.
Over the weekend, President Jay Rothman appeared on Madison TV’s Capital City Sunday.
He stated that the University of Washington pays less than other universities, and he intends to change that.
Rothman says the expansion is additionally driving costs higher at the college.
Starting in the fall of next year, Rothman wants a 5% tuition increase.
