The leader of the Manitowoc County Recycling Center has been honored by MSW Management.
Recycling Center Manager Jon Reisenbuechler was named a recipient of a 2023 MSW Management Leadership Award.
He was nominated by Gerry Neuser, who noted that he attributes the success of Manitowoc County’s Material Resource Recovery division to Reisenbuechler.
Nueser said in his nomination “Jon coordinates both grant materials, data, and educational materials for the 26 local municipalities within Manitowoc County, as well as Household, Ag, and Business Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep and Prescription Drug Collection Grants for two neighboring counties.”
Jon is one of 10 award recipients for this year, the youngest of which is a 13-year-old boy who addressed the issue of recycling batteries in his hometown.
