A police chase in Fond du Lac County came to an electric end over the weekend.
Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department ran the plates on a vehicle traveling west on Highway 23 in the Town of Lamartine just before 8:00 Saturday evening.
The registered owner had active felony warrants for their arrest, so the Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
The driver sped off, leading police on a 6-mile pursuit.
The driver eventually slammed into a power pole on Highway 26 near Olden Road.
The driver took off on foot but was captured shortly after without further incident.
No injuries were reported.
