The man from Wisconsin who is accused of participating in the plot to kidnap Governor Whitmer is changing his plea to not guilty.
He is accused of providing material support for an act of terrorism.
After initially pleading not guilty, 54-year-old Brian Higgins of Wisconsin Dells has a hearing today in Antrim County.
He has not been informed by the Michigan attorney general’s office whether he has been offered a plea deal.
Higgins is said to have driven to Elk Rapids to scout Whitmer’s vacation home to train with other conspirators.
