While they were looking into another drunk driver, a suspect hits a Madison police officer’s car.
Early on Sunday morning, police say that an officer was checking on a person who was unconscious in the driver’s seat of their car on the Beltline near Stoughton Road.
The officer’s squad car is said to have been struck by another vehicle at that point.
Both individuals are charged with OWI, and the officer is unharmed.
