The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is accepting applications for the next Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council.
Students in high school who will be seniors in the 2023–2024 school year should apply for the council right away.
The Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council’s goal is to make young people more aware of DATCP’s interactions with the agriculture industry in Wisconsin and to encourage them to get involved with state government.
After completing their one-year term, students are awarded a certificate. There are 15 people on the council.
Each of the nine council districts should have at least one DATCP representative.
At-large members have taken up all of the remaining seats.
A map and listing of which counties are located in each of the nine districts are available at AgYouthCouncil.wi.gov.
