The governor of Wisconsin is requesting $9 million from lawmakers to assist in the construction of a new soccer stadium in Milwaukee.
The money is included in Governor Evers’s state budget proposal.
Milwaukee is planning to construct a new downtown stadium and get ready for a new soccer team.
The governor stated that the state contributed to the construction of Fiserv Forum, that it wants to assist the Brewers with American Family Field, and that it ought to assist with the soccer stadium as well.
The new stadium, according to planners, will cost about $45 million all together.
