
The cases that they would not hear are being delineated by the candidates for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Due to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s support for her campaign, liberal Judge Janet Protasiewicz declared yesterday that she would withdraw from any case involving the party.
Dan Kelly, a conservative former justice, claims that he will choose which cases he will not hear on an individual basis.
Kelly stated that he could withdraw from cases involving other donors or the Wisconsin Republican Party.
Despite criticism that she had virtually pledged to rule in favor of abortion while campaigning, Protasiewicz stated that she would not recuse herself from cases involving abortion.
A battle between the two is imminent in the upcoming month.
