Marshfield Clinics employees will soon see their pink slips.
Marshfield announced Wednesday 222 layoffs in its Wisconsin hospitals and plans to not hire 500 more employees.
Twenty different Marshfield facilities will see layoffs, 60 of which will be at the clinic in Marshfield itself.
Although eliminating jobs is never easy, Marshfield CEO Susan Turney stated that the clinic system is not “immune” to the pressures and difficulties of the healthcare system.
Additionally, about 120 employees are being laid off at Marshfield’s Michigan facilities.
