Over the next few days, we will observe the effects of Milwaukee’s record rainfall.
Until further notice, the National Weather Service is maintaining flood warnings for a portion of Oak Creek and the Root River.
After a prolonged period of heavy rain in southeast Wisconsin, both are swollen. Yesterday’s rainfall of just over two inches set a record for Milwaukee’s airport.
Waukesha and Hales Corners each received more than two inches.
Big Bend received just under an inch and a half of rain, while Brookfield received an inch and a half.
Except for the possibility of snow on Friday, the remainder of this week’s forecast is dry.
