Milwaukee Police say the man found dead inside a northwest side fire yesterday was shot.
The fire happened at an apartment building near 29th and Villard Sunday morning.
It took firefighters just a few minutes to put out the fire, but that’s when they found the body.
Milwaukee Police originally said the victim was a woman, but later clarified they were a man living as a woman.
Investigators say the case is a homicide.
There’s no word about motives or a suspect in the case.
