The sheriff in Washington County arrested a bad guy who tried to do the right thing after a wreck during this week’s storm.
The sheriff’s office says a 27-year-old Milwaukee man called 911 to say he’d crashed into a ditch on Highway 45, north of Richfield Wednesday night.
When a deputy arrived to help, he smelled marijuana and then found drugs, a gun, and cash in the car.
The deputy arrested the man, who was on parole, for drug and weapons charges.
The sheriff’s office says once they searched the entire car they found nearly a pound-and-a-half of marijuana, cocaine, multiple phones, a scale, and a large amount of cash.
