Local and area wrestlers will be competing for Gold beginning today at the WIAA State Boys and Girls Individual Wrestling Tournament.
Two Rivers, Manitowoc Lincoln, Mishicot, Valders, Reedsville, Kiel, and Denmark are sending athletes to the Kohl Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Opening round matches are scheduled to get underway this afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
This is the 80th annual boys tournament and only the 2nd ever girls individual wrestling tourney.
