A couple thousand people got a reminder about Milwaukee’s winter parking rules over the weekend.
A DPW spokesman says the city issued 2,000 tickets during last weekend’s snow emergency.
A snow emergency means people need to clear all main roads, and they must clear at least one side of the road on side streets. DPW says moving parked cars makes it much easier for plow drivers to do their jobs, and to keep the streets clear.
Each snow emergency ticket costs $50.
