Manitowoc’s International Relations Association is looking for student ambassadors for an upcoming student exchange with Kamogawa Japan.
The Clipper City and Kamogawa have been sister cities since 1993, when then Mayor Kevin Crawford and Perk Foster of Foster Needle Corporation brought their dream to life.
The Student Exchange Program between the two cities began two years later and has been going on nearly every year since.
Students that wish to apply should submit an essay to MIRA which should explain their hopes and expectations for their visit to Kamogawa, and outline the impact this experience will have on their future.
Applicants will also need two letters of recommendation, one written by a parent or guardian and one from another adult.
Applications are due by March 10th.
