They may be on the same campus, but the stories of the UW Green Bay Men and Women’s basketball teams are a tale of two teams.
The women were in Fairborn Ohio last night, where they beat Wright State 72-51.
The Phoenix pulled out to a 36-26 lead at the half and held the Raiders to just 6 points in the 4th quarter to secure their 8th straight win.
Appleton North graduate Sydney Levy led UWGB with 19 points and 9 rebounds while Jasmine Kondrakiewicz added 17 points.
The UWGB Men on the other hand are trending the other way. They fell to Purdue Fort Wayne 79-69 last night, which was their 6th straight loss.
The team is being led by two sophomores, Clarence Cummings III who dropped 23 points, while Cade Meyer tallied 12 points, but also pulled down 11 rebounds for a double-double.
Their next game will be another road contest, this time in Cleveland Ohio to take on Cleveland State.
That game tips off at 2:00 Saturday afternoon.
The women will put their 11-3 record on the line tomorrow in Highland Heights Kentucky as they take on Northern Kentucky.
That game will begin at 1:00 p.m.
