A large number of area basketball teams are participating in holiday tournaments around the area.
Starting with the boys, Two Rivers is scheduled to take on Green Bay East at the Oostburg tourney today, while the host team will battle Denmark.
Meanwhile, at the Kress Events Center in Green Bay, Valders will take on Wrightstown in the Sun Drop Showcase, Appleton North takes on Slinger, and Appleton East squares off with Ashwaubenon.
Reedsville is hosting a tournament where they are scheduled to face Wisconsin Heights for the championship, while New Holstein is in Random Lake as a part of the EWC/Big East Challenge.
Brillion is at Concordia University for the WBY Shootout, where they will take on Kettle Moraine Lutheran, while Sheboygan North will face Fuller Colligate Academy in the Raider Shootout.
At the St. Mary Catholic Tournament, the host team will square off with St. Mary’s Springs, and Lourdes Academy battles Roncalli.
Also scheduled for today is Cedar Grove-Belgium taking on Greendale at the New Berlin West Viking Classic, and Kohler against Manawa at the North Fond du Lac Holiday Tournament.
In non-tournament action, Kiel is at Manitowoc Lutheran, D.C. Everest is at Green Bay Southwest, Preble hosts Menasha, and Appleton West invades Fox Valley Lutheran.
On the Girls’ side of the ledger, Mishicot is participating in the Dodgeland Winter Classic, where they will take on Princeton/Green Lake today.
At the Oostburg Holiday Shootout, the host team will square off with Waukesha West, and New Holstein will battle University School.
At the Kiel Holiday Tournament, the host Raiders will take on St. Mary Springs while Random Lake battles Shiocton.
In the North Fond du Lac Holiday Tournament, the host squad is slated to take on Milwaukee Golda Meir, and its Kohler vs. Manawa.
