Dead Man Found Along Lake Michigan Shore Partially Encased In Ice

Caledonia Police say an off-duty officer has found the body of a man who had been reported missing.  A family member had requested the welfare check and the body was found partially encased in ice along the Lake Michigan shoreline Monday morning.  Witnesses say emergency responders had a difficult time reaching the body due to the steep bluffs in the area, complicated by icy conditions.  The 59-year-old man’s name hasn’t been released.  A medical examiner has told the family they should have more answers about the cause of the man’s death in a couple of days.
