
Millions of Wisconsinites traveling this holiday weekend could be impacted by severe weather.
According to AAA’s website, roughly 2.5 million residents of the state will hit the road between December 23rd and January 2nd.
Friday the 23rd is expected to be the busiest day for travelers – right about when the worst of the winter storm is going to hit the state.
As the forecast shapes up, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is preparing plows and drivers to work in 12-hour shifts to keep the highways clear.
The Manitowoc area is expected to get between 12 and 18 inches of snow between Wednesday and Saturday.
