The winter concert at Chilton High School yesterday was interrupted by a possible threat toward the school.
Superintendent Susan Kaphingst said in a statement that out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed on lockdown and the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office and Chilton Police Department were called to investigate.
The specifics of the situation were not released, but the Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that it was a bomb threat.
The school was searched and deemed safe, so the students were released.
Classes will resume as usual today, but there will be an increased police presence at the school.
