A WOW county Republican lawmaker who was kicked out of the Republican caucus in the Assembly says she is running for the state Senate.
State Rep. Janel Brandtjen yesterday said she is running for the seat left open by state Senator Alberta Darling’s retirement.
Brandtjen already represents part of the district.
She will face the other Republican from the other half of Darling’s district, state Rep. Dan Knodl.
Assembly Republicans dis-invited Brandtjen from their meetings last month because of what they called a lack of trust.
