A number of local and area basketball teams are ranked in the first weekly state Coaches poll of the season by wissports.net.
In the Boys basketball ratings, defending state division-4 champion Roncalli is listed at #10, while Saint Mary’s Springs of Fond du lac is rated #1 in the state.
Howards Grove is 2nd, Saint Mary Catholic 4th, and Sheboygan Lutheran 10th.
In Division-5, Reedsville is ranked 7th, and Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran is 9th.
The Brillion Lions are rated #4 in Division 3 while Xavier checked in at #9.
And, in the Division-1 poll, FRCC power De Pere is tops in the state with Neenah 4th and Oshkosh North #7.
Brillion is also rated in the Girls Coaches poll, where the Lions are ranked #5 in Division 3.
Freedom is first and Oostburg was rated 7th.
Notre Dame from the FRCC owns the top ranking in Division-2, EWC member New Holstein is 10th in D-4 while Neenah and Kaukauna are listed 2nd and 5th, respectively, in Division-1.
