Wisconsin State Senator Republican Alberta Darling is retiring. She announced her retirement Wednesday morning, saying she’s looking forward to giving more attention to her friends and family. Darling was first elected to the Wisconsin Assembly back in 1990 and has been in the senate since 1992.
Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement in response to the retirement of Senator Alberta Darling:“Congratulations to my longtime friend and former colleague, Senator Alberta Darling, on her retirement. I served with Senator Darling for many years in the State Senate and admire the integrity and tireless work ethic she brought to the legislature. Darling’s esteemed service to Wisconsin will forever be remembered and her spirit of determination to deliver for her constituents will be missed in the 8th Senate District.”
