The sentencing hearing for Waukesha Christmas Parade attacker, Darrell Brooks, is continuing today after a threat to the courthouse interrupted yesterday’s proceedings.
Victim impact statements were stopped for over an hour to allow law enforcement to clear the building.
The session continued shortly after 11:00 a.m., with dozens of individuals describing how last year’s parade attack has changed their lives.
Brooks will serve a mandatory life sentence on 76 charges related to the deaths of six people, and injuries to 12 others.
The judge is expected to decide today whether he will ever be eligible for parole.
