The waiting is finally over, it is Election Day in Wisconsin.
The state is one of a handful of battleground states again this year, which means Wisconsin has seen the most expensive race for governor in the entire country, and one of the most expensive races for U.S. Senate.
Voters will also decide all manner of the statehouse and local races, and they will say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to hundreds of ballot questions across the state.
The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Residents can find out just where to vote at the state’s MyVote website.
Meanwhile, in Milwaukee, it could take a while to get all of the votes counted.
The city’s Election Commission yesterday said there are 60,000 absentee ballots waiting to be counted.
And that’s just in the city.
State law means absentee ballots cannot be counted until today.
Milwaukee’s election managers say they expect to finish their count at about 11:00 p.m. tonight.
