The mother of the 12-year-old Milwaukee girl who was shot and killed Monday night is pushing back on the police narrative about her shooting.
She says her daughter was shot because they were staring, not because of stolen cars.
Milwaukee Police originally said in a watch commander’s report Monday night that a group of young suspects shot the girl in the chest because the mother asked them to stop leaving stolen cars across the street from her house.
Celeste Wilson, the mother, said that the group started shooting because she was staring at them.
Wilson was wounded as well.
Investigators are looking for suspects in the case.
