A 65-year-old Manitowoc man was taken into custody this week after allegedly having inappropriate and sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl. Court records show that Peter P. Tegelman has been charged with knowingly violating a child abuse order. According to the criminal complaint Tegelman would allegedly meet the girl in private locations and give money to her to transport and purchase merchandise. He also allegedly sent her text messages and had lengthy conservations that made her uncomfortable because of the “sexual innuendos.” The complaint continues on to state that in late December the girl’s mother saw Tegelman drop her daughter off at her home. Court records show that last year Tegelman violated terms of a child abuse order by having inappropriate contact with other juvenile girls and was cited for contributing to the delinquency of a child. The county clerks office tells Seehafer News that Tegelman bailed out before his bail hearing was to be held this afternoon and his initial appearance is listed as “to be announced.”
