A Manitowoc woman was arrested following a crash over the weekend.
An officer with the Manitowoc Police Department was reportedly dispatched to the area of Revere Drive and Spring Street just after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday (September 10th) on a report of a vehicle crashing into a street sign.
When the officer arrived, he noted that the sign was lying on the ground, and a vehicle was parked nearby, with the female driver leaning up against a utility pole.
The officer spoke with the woman, who admitted to drinking earlier in the day, but said she only had “three beers”.
The officer conducted a field sobriety test, which the 65-year-old woman failed.
She was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were not included in the police report.
The woman was then taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on her 4th OWI charge.
