A pair of just-promoted rookies hit home runs to lead Colorado to an 8-4 win over the Brewers Wednesday afternoon.
The Rockies roughed up Milwaukee starter Eric Lauer, knocking him out in the third inning.
Lauer reported having elbow tightness.
Andrew McCutchen and Luis Urias hit ninth-inning home runs but the game was already decided.
Following a 2-and-5 road trip, the Brewers are now four games out in the Wild Card race.
Milwaukee returns home to play a doubleheader today against the San Francisco Giants.
Corbin Burnes and Freddy Peralta are the scheduled starting pitchers for manager Craig Counsell.
