A fugitive now charged with killing his former girlfriend had been free on bail at the time.
Ernest Terrell Blakney was awaiting sentencing for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl when authorities say he went on a crime spree.
The girl’s family objected when Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge David Borowski released him on bail on August 15th.
His attorney had asked that Blakney be given time to wrap things up before he was sentenced.
He’s accused of killing 36-year-old Nikia T. Rogers on August 25th.
He is still at large.
